I suggested  you can continue to use the IC51 ,ic61x is useless if you really do not need an OA library. the decisive fact is  not the Virtuoso platform , but the Simulator that you are adopting such as APS or spectre or ultrasim ,hspice... of course ,you need to set the enviroment variable ' CDS_AUTO_64BIT' before you run the simulator, or set '-64' when you invoke the tools in command line. also you need to set '+mt=xxx' in the command line to invoke the multiple thread mode to accelerate the simulation process.

u should run with 64bit and Multi-threating.
Some tools might not support this function.
